The agglomeration is still thought of as an architectual hodgepodge. Its qualities evade easy description, forming a diverse and paradoxical series of spaces. These make a convincing case for a pluralistic society, where disparate uses exist side by side.
In the specific perimeter of the Limmattal, the design project explores one specific function of this agglomeration: the handling of waste, and its potential for creating civic spaces, which embodies the paradoxical qualities of the agglomeration.
