The project creates time and space for water to evaporate into the air, transpire through plants and infiltrate the ground. It’s an extension of space in the process of drainage allowing for a more dynamic and therefore more resilient relationship with the ubiquitous resource.
By identifying three distinct qualities of rainwater on the site and addressing each uniquely, the project creates an environment that explores various surfaces, water qualities, and their specific discharges after a heavy rain event, enhancing our understanding of water and taping into the vast potential currently lost to sewage systems.
