The Parkhaus itself provides a unique experience. The three identical double-helix ramps are passable through 12 entrances from the street. With further corridors among them, it is like an endless path, misleading but full of possibility. This is the atmosphere I want to keep also after the re-use.

However, there are also some existing problems.

- The large volume blocks the neighborhood. With its 107m length, the parkhaus is like an obstacle between the housing and the park.

-Less cars are parked inside, so large areas of the ramp is empty.

-There are barely any flat platforms in the building, which is hard for people to use and stay.

My measurement is to demolish the 4 units in the middle and keep the most left and right ones. I propose a fitness studio as the new function to encourage people come to the place. Then a new set of ramp is built to connect the existing ramp and the function. With the changing floor level and different access, this new complex is interconnected and again enables a free stroll.
