My proposal is a “Sportscape”: A recreational center in the dense and urban space that the Zürichberg has been transformed into. It is called “Sportscape” in an allusion to the word “landscape”. The center is an important addition to the neighbouring sports centers (ASVZ Fluntern, FIFA, Tennisclub, Pfadihaus), because it provides a space for all kinds of people to do various indoor and outdoor activities, thereby allowing for an exchange between the different users, who formerly had been separated from each other. A new cable car connection from Stettbach to Zürichberg is the starting point for my proposal. An important element in the “Sportscape”, therefore, is the tower in which the cable car station is placed. Other important elements include the central Plaza, the extensive rooftop and a system of ramps providing smooth connections.
