In Switzerland, 4.8% of the total soil is already permanently sealed because of building activities. These soils can no longer absorb rainwater, bind CO2 or produce biomass. Looking to the future, it is assumed that due to climate change periods of increasing rainfall and prolonged dry periods will alternate. In view of this prognosis, it would make sense to focus on the interplay between water and soil. A Zone and the burial of dead wood are being introduced to repair the soils and create a new landscape.
