Decades of euphoric growth at Messe Basel have now given way to a hangover. Together with the inauguration of the CHF 430 million Hall 1 in 2013, a test planning was commissioned to examine the profit maximization of the adjacent plot. The Messe Basel parking garage located there is to be demolished in the near future to make way for a 105 m high-rise building. Today, however, the question arises as to whether this project is now out of date and whether the mostly vacant parking garage has further potential.
